PFAS
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances are a group of synthetic organofluorine chemical compounds that have multiple fluorine atoms attached to an alkyl chain. Because of their high chemical and thermal stability, these compounds have long environmental lifetimes, and thus are commonly referred to as "forever chemicals".
