Soria is a city and municipality in the autonomous community of Castile and León in Spain, and capital of the province of Soria, located on the Douro river. It has a population of 40,941, representing 45.4% of the provincial population as of 2025. Situated at about 1,065 meters above sea level, Soria is the second highest provincial capital in Spain.
