Ray-Ban Meta
In September 2021, Meta launched Ray-Ban Stories, its first generation of smart glasses. In 2023, Meta and Ray-Ban released Ray-Ban Meta, the second generation of the companies' smart glasses line, with Meta AI integration. In June 2026, Meta released additional smart glasses called Meta Glasses. Meta's smart glasses have received criticism stemming from mistrust over Facebook's privacy controls, the small size and ease of removal of the recording indicator light, and privacy and ethical concerns, with people labeling them pervert glasses.
