Who we are
Beyond ("we") operates the website beyondnews.it, a business-news intelligence service. Data controller contact: info@beyondnews.it.
What we collect and why
- Account: your email and a hashed password (to sign you in). Legal basis: contract.
- Company profile: the business details you enter (sector, competitors, suppliers, etc.) to personalize the analysis. Legal basis: contract.
- Newsletter: your email, if you subscribe to The Morning Brief. Legal basis: consent (you can unsubscribe anytime via the link in every email).
- Payments: handled by Stripe; we store your subscription status and plan, not your card details. Legal basis: contract.
- Reading analytics: which case files are opened, and the associated email if you are signed in, to improve the product. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Anonymous traffic analytics: aggregate page views (page path and the referring website's domain) — no cookies, no IP, no identifiers. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Technical: a session cookie and standard server logs.
Service providers
We share the minimum necessary with: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), OpenRouter (AI analysis), Turso (database), Render (hosting) and Cloudflare (CDN/DNS). We do not sell your data and we do not use advertising trackers.
Retention
We keep account and profile data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can request access, correction, deletion, or a copy (portability) of your data, and you can object to or restrict processing. Email info@beyondnews.it. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
